It's April 1st, also known as April Fool's Day. And because of social media, this day now significantly lacks any meaning or value. With data showing that greater than 50% of everything you see on social media is AI generated fakery, it kind of makes what had been a fun day of celebrating deception and practical jocularity a rather banal and lackluster affair.
That being said, this is the one day of the year when the satirical news site THE ONION actually posts REAL NEWS. It's almost hard to tell the real from the fake/satirical anymore. Best to, as I have encouraged many times, boycott and avoid all social media (you can give the corporate mainstream media a miss too). Try getting your news and info from NPR and BBC, which are publicly funded media, less influenced by corporate propaganda.
