I hope this blog post finds you and brings you joy, insight, and or actionable ideas for defeating the Diabolical Forces in the Universe (DFUs). If not, I still hope you have a fantastic day.
Due to an unforeseen gap in my marriage and family therapy schedule this morning, I am making the most of the opportunity to write a brief post.
A silent but effective way to protest is to boycott the things you are protesting. There is an app called Yuka that allows you to scan bar codes on products and determine how good or bad they are from 0 (bad) to 100 (good). If you use it effectively, you can significantly support more good things than bad.
But even if you don't want to get all technical about it, you can use common sense. Vote with your dollars by shopping at local businesses (mom and pop shops) in your community and getting your food from farmer's markets and CSA farms. It might cost a little more, but the impact will be felt and it will be worth it.
The main thing is that you try and don't sell out. You don't need to be perfect about boycotting bad things, just better. Do your best, as one of the 4 Agreements directs.
Take care!
Fin.
