A Fine Weekend

Hi Dear Readers!

I hope this blog post finds you and brings you joy, insight, or action steps for defeating the Diabolical Forces in the Universe (DFUs). There's a lot of negativity out there and the DFUs feed and thrive off that. So, if there is one single thing you can do to undermine the DFUs it is BE POSITIVE. Put positivity and love and joy and compassion and kindness out into the world. It is anathema to the DFUs.

I had a great birthday weekend. Friday night (my actual birthday, with caveats), Deborah, my folks, and I went to the Nitty Gritty pub for dinner. It's a birthday themed place and they have lots of vegan options on the menu. I treated myself to a vegan milkshake, along with my usual vegan Impossible cheeseburger. On Saturday, it was mostly a chillaxed day. I don't remember what all we did entirely, but I know I spent some time rehearsing songs in the evening, in anticipation of Sunday's GUPPY EFFECT rock-n-roll show at the Brix Cider Haus in Mt Horeb WI. Sunday was largely dedicated to prepping for and executing said rock-n-roll show and it went pretty great. I give it a solid A minus. Of course, I managed to squeeze in a DFU destroying Peloton workout every day. It fills me with such positivity and joy to know that every time I get on the Peloton bike trainer, I am depleting DFUs of their precious life energy. I encourage everyone to try it. You'll feel great afterwards. The "runner's high," as they call it, is essentially the feeling of absorbing life energy from DFUs.

Alright, well...I can lead a horse to water, but you know the rest. If you want to reverse the toxic grievance and negativity that is eating the world (like Langoliers), you have it in your power to engage the three things that will accomplish this: 1. Vegan diet. 2. Daily aerobic exercise. 3. Abstinence from social and mainstream media. If you don't believe this is the secret to success, try it for two weeks (a fortnight) and you'll see.

Take care.

No Ordinary Tuesday

Hi Dear Readers!

I hope this blog post finds you and brings you joy, insight, or action steps for defeating the Diabolical Forces in the Universe (DFUs). As it turns out, reading this blog has been clinically proven to improve your physical, mental, and spiritual wellness.

It feels like a good day to me. Does it feel like a good day to you? I don't know why, but I feel like something very positive for the Cosmos will happen today. We'll see, I guess.

I'll be manifesting my usual amount of Dark Magic today. After seeing a couple of marriage and family therapy clients this morning, I will pound out a DM-generating Peloton workout directed at the demise of the high priority DFUs. As usual, I'll be generating a baseline level of DFU-defeating DM by adhering to a whole food, plant based way of eating AND abstaining from toxic social and mainstream media (SMSM).

That's a good segue into reminding you that consumption of SMSM is incredibly toxic to your mind, body, and soul. The lethal dose is about 10 minutes of exposure per day. If you simply have to consume SMSM, please limit your use to less than that! Remember that the easiest way to keep DFUs out of your life is to abstain from SMSM entirely, since that is the only access point into your life for nearly 99% of all DFUs.

Positivity Post

Hi Readers!

According to the free LOSE IT app that I use to track my diet and exercise, I am down just over four pounds since starting my December Wellness Challenge on 12/1. I was 202.2 pounds on 11/30, the day prior to starting the challenge (Time Zero). I was 197.8 pounds as of this morning (12/4). If you want to be a stickler for details and argue that Time Zero was actually my morning weight on 12/1 - and there is some logic to that - then I am only down 3.2 pounds. Still pretty good! I have largely achieved this by exercising away (on the Peloton trainer) more calories than I eat, and practicing intermittent fasting (not eating between about 8 PM in the evening and noon the next day). My goal is to lose 15 pounds before the end of the year, so I am ahead of schedule. That being said, weight loss is not linear and those last five pounds are going to be harder to lose than the first five. That's not even taking into consideration the dietary risks, temptations, and pitfalls of the upcoming Judeo-Christian holidays. While I personally don't celebrate or recognize them (they are not Church of Bike With Joe holidays), much of our family does, and so we join in to honor our loved ones, more so than the mythical deities they pay tribute to via excessive holiday hedonism and sloth.

It's barely 8 AM on Wednesday 12/4 and I have already crushed and conquered a number of my TO DOs. In about 15 minutes, I will see my first marriage and family therapy client of the day, after which I will squeeze in a decent Peloton workout and attend a continuing education webinar (whilst eating my first meal of the day). After lunch/webinar, I will go pick up the groceries I ordered online this morning. The remainder of the afternoon and evening comprises seeing a few more psychotherapy clients, before retiring for some disconnection and self care.

Best Dream

Hi Readers!

What is your mood score today on a 1-10 scale, where 10 = ideal mood? And what do you attribute your mood score to (positives and negatives)?

I'm at about a 9/10 today, despite quite a busy and stressful marriage and family therapist's workday ahead. I attribute this to getting a great workout in yesterday (60 intentional* minutes on the Peloton). I also accomplished my "3 Things that Would Make Today a Success" yesterday. And so, by definition, yesterday was a success. I had an awesome night's sleep last night and a couple of cathartic dreams.

Anyway. I hope you all have a very positive and productive day today. Try to make time for self care, and if possible, abstain from social and mainstream media (SMSM). Word on the street is that it's very toxic and radioactive right now, and any amount of exposure can lethally poison your soul. I am encouraging all of my psychotherapy clients to fast from SMSM through at least the end of the year. The mental health benefits far outweigh the newsworthiness.

If your mood score is less than a 5/10 today, take a mental health day, do some self care, and avoid negativity, toxicity, and drama.

Fin.

*NOTE: INTENTION is the manifestation of desired outcomes in the Cosmos through positive action. My INTENTION is always the disenfranchisement of negativity and toxicity in the Cosmos, balanced karmically by an improvement in my positivity and wellness.
